Remember your identity in Christ. 

• -In Christ, you are forgiven (2:12)
• -In Christ, you know the Father (2:13-14)
• -In Christ, you are victors (2:13-14)

Don’t put your confidence in the world.

• -The World cannot give you what you need. (2:15)
• -The World cannot give you what it promises. (2:16)
• -The World cannot give you what will last. (2:17)

In Christ you are: 

1. A child of God (I John 3:1)
2. Forgiven (I Peter 2:24)
3. Free (Gal 5:1)
4. Never Alone (Deut 31:8)
5. A Masterpiece (Eph 2:10)
