Rev. Arthur Connor Jr.

Rev. Arthur Connor Jr. is a native Virgin Islander who grew up on the small island of St. Croix. He is the Lead Pastor at Metropolitan Baptist Church of Hollywood, Florida. Rev. Arthur Connor, Jr. has ministered in many worship services from US Virgin Islands to Florida for the last 18 years. In 2003 Arthur Connor, Jr. at the age of 22, began his journey in full-time ministry service as Church Administrator for Bethel Worship Center.

Arthur earned his BA in Business Administration and Marketing from Florida Atlantic University and his Masters of Arts in Theological Studies at Trinity International University. Mostly Arthur is committed to his first ministry as Husband to Tamara Connor (17 years) and father to Emanuel and Noah Connor. His prayer is that His hands will be a place where God’s glory is safe.

James Hanna

James Hanna was born in Freeport Grand Bahama and was raised in Deerfield Beach, Florida. He is the Youth and Young Adult Pastor at Metropolitan Baptist Church of Hollywood, Florida. As a pastor’s kid, he grew up heavily involved in the music ministry. From there he became actively involved with youth, developing a strong passion for young people to know the Gospel.

Pastor James has earned his associate’s in Jazz Studies at Florida Memorial University. He has committed and dedicated himself in the areas of theological studies, such as reform theology and systematic theology, along with Christian Apologetics. Most importantly he believes that ministry begins in the home. He has been married to his wife Jacqueline Hanna for 7 years and is father to James Hanna Jr, and Jalia Sky Hanna. His prayer is that he will be used as a means through God’s grace to spread the gospel of Jesus Christ.

Rev. Rodman Cory

Rodman Cory grew up in southeastern Rhode Island and enjoys the beach, the mountains, the woods, and Boston sports teams. He is a father to four wonderful children, (Isaiah, Rebekah, Elijah, and Jeremiah), and is passionate about declaring the greatness of God and describing the fullness of who He is and what He’s done. He’s drawn to helping folks connect with Scripture—especially around the themes of God’s glory and grace.

Rodman has a BS in Bible from a Baptist College in Pennsylvania, and an MDiv in Systematic Theology from Biola University. He ministered in churches in Central Florida, New Jersey, and Vermont, before coming to South Florida and finding a home at Metropolitan Baptist Church. He currently works in labor and employee relations in a university setting – but his heart is for ministry.

Rev. Dwight Fairclough

Rev. Dwight Fairclough serves at Metropolitan Baptist Church as leader of the Christian Education Ministry Department which includes small groups, missions, evangelism, men’s and women’s ministry (WMU). He has been serving in the Metropolitan Baptist Church since 2001 and has also served as a deacon and chair of deacons. He was ordained as a Baptist minister in 2009 at the Metropolitan Baptist Church.

Dwight has ministered in several churches, mainly in South Florida and in Jamaica. In Jamaica, Dwight also served in various leadership capacities including regularly preaching, teaching, leading worship, participating in evangelical campaigns, youth ministry, serving as deacon and being a lead member of the church choir for many years.

Dr. Grace Sidberry

Dr. Grace Sidberry is a licensed psychologist, she works with individuals and couples in her practice in Plantation, Florida. The focus of her practice is addressing issues related to
depression, anxiety, coping with stress and couple’s counseling.

Sonia Gallimore

Mrs. Sonia E. Gallimore is a licensed Marriage & Family Life Therapist with many years experience. Honors graduate of the University of the West Indies (BSc-Social Work); an M.A. from St. Thomas University (Florida) in Marriage & Family Therapy. Nationally decorated by the Jamaica Government with the Badge of Honor for Meritorious Work in the field of Social Work, and also with the prestigious Order of Distinction.

The wife of Dr. Gerry Gallimore for over 57 years, Sonia is the mother of three children, grandmother to 13, and great-grandmother to 3. Her passion is counseling.

Shivonne Johnson

Miami born, Jamaica grown, Shivonne began singing in church at the age of 3. Her love of music carried her throughout her school years as she was a member of the gospel choir and her church’s youth praise team. A proud University of Miami Hurricane Alumni, Shivonne spent her time at UM directing the gospel choir for two years. Prior to joining the family at Metropolitan, she was the Worship Director at Grace Christian Family Church for the past 8 years. Currently, she teaches music at Abundant Life Christian Academy.

Shivonne’s primary goal is to glorify God and desires to see the unity of the body of Christ. Music has been a primary tool of expression of worship and Shivonne hopes to share that with her Metropolitan family.
