Good Friday and Easter Sunday Services
Transcript
Hey, Metropolitan Baptist Church family this is Pastor Arthur and I’m excited about this week because this week we get a chance to celebrate Holy Week. Last year we only celebrated it online, but this year will be different. We will have a chance to celebrate both online and in-person, and on Good Friday, April 2nd this Friday at 7:00 PM we will be celebrating with another church, Celebration International Church. They have been (meeting) in our Annex for the last couple. of months and we’ll come together and celebrate the death of our Savior.
Yes, we celebrate the death of our Savior, because He died in our place. It’s Good Friday because Jesus Christ died in our place, but here’s the good news, on the third day, on Sunday, he rose again, and so this Sunday (April 4th) at 10:00 AM. we’re going to celebrate our risen savior, the resurrection of our King. Yes, the tomb is empty. Today, the tomb where he once was, it’s still empty and will forever be empty because he is not there and that empty tomb reminds us that we have, we have hope and we don’t have fear, no more, because we have life and we have life eternal. And so, I want to encourage you to invite a friend or whether you want to watch online or have them come to be with us in person.
To make more room for others in person, we’re going to increase our capacity from 100 to 150, which is only 25% of our building capacity. Man, I am just so excited that when you come we can see one another. We can fist bump, give air fives and just have a great time celebrating the resurrection of our King. When you come, allow us to seat you because we want to make sure we can socially distance. Man, I am Uber excited about celebrating, not only the death and the burial but also the resurrection of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ.
Because he rose, because he lives, we can face tomorrow. Because he rose on the third day, we have a living hope. I can’t wait to see you this Sunday as we celebrate Easter both online and in-person.
Have a great day.
